As a US resident, how do we export/import the trailer into the US?

Escape Trailer Industries completes all of the paperwork required for the import/export of your trailer.

Once the trailer enters production, we will assign a VIN number to the trailer and complete the required documents. (Please note we do require a SSN at this time for one owner). A complete copy of the prepared documents is forwarded to both the customer and CPBSA where they are filed and stamped by US customs at the time of export/import.

Depending on the State and County, some customers are able to obtain full title, and registration before they pick the trailer at our facility in Chilliwack. This allows them to have a metal plate to put on the trailer during travel between Chilliwack, BC and their home State.

Lynden DMV

You can contact or visit the DMV in Lynden, WA to obtain temporary tags. It is located about 20 minutes south of Sumas, and you may purchase tags for up to 6 days. They are sold in batches of 3 days at a time. The address is 8130 WA-539, Lynden, WA 98264, United States. Phone 1-360-354-8080.
