Carbon Monoxide & Propane Gas Detector
Important Things to Know

This is a combo detector that senses carbon monoxide and propane gas.
-
It is hardwired to the trailer battery, so it always has some power.
-
The detector also uses a battery in the trailer system to function.
-
The detector should be replaced about 60 months (5 years) after purchase.

If the detector randomly goes off, it may mean it has reached the end of its lifespan.
How to Test the Carbon Monoxide/Propane Detector

Locate the “Test / Mute” button on the left side of the detector.

Press and hold the button.
-
Listen for a loud beeping sound.
-
Look for two red lights flashing.
-
If you hear the alarm and see the lights, the detector is working properly.
- The alarm is very loud, so be prepared.
When to Test

At the start of every trip

At the end of every trip

At least once per season
Smoke Detector

Located at the front driver’s side of the trailer.

It is battery powered.

You may need to replace the battery or the entire unit eventually.
How to Test the Smoke Detector

Find the test button on the lower right side of the smoke detector.

Press the button.
-
Wait for a short delay.
-
Listen for the loud alarm sound.
-
If the alarm sounds, the detector is working correctly.
When to Test

Before every trip

At least once per week while using the trailer
How to Remove the Smoke Detector
-
Grab the detector.
-
Twist it to remove it from the mount.
-
Replace the battery or the entire unit if needed.
How to Reinstall the Smoke Detector
-
Place the detector back into the mount.
-
Twist to lock it in place.
-
Check that it is secure.
-
Some small wiggling is normal, but it should not fall out.
