How to Use the 1500W Inverter

1. Turn the inverter ON

  • Locate the inverter switch (usually near the dinette).

  • Press the switch.

  • Wait until the red light turns on.

  • Give it about 1–2 minutes.

  • Listen for:

    • A “clunk” sound (transfer switch), or

    • A beep from the microwave (if installed)

      • This means the inverter is now supplying power.

2. Use the inverter safely

  • You CAN use it for:

    • Charging phones and laptops

    • Running standard 120V outlets (low-power devices)

  • You CANNOT use it for high-power appliances like:

    • Air conditioner

    • Electric hot water heater

    • Fridge in 120V mode

For those, you must connect to shore power.

3. Turn the inverter OFF when not in use

  • Press the same switch again.

  • The red light will turn off.

  • Important: Even when idle, the inverter draws a small amount of battery power, so always turn it off when you’re done.

4. Check the inverter mode switch (on the unit itself)

  • Make sure it’s set to “two-bar” (remote mode)

    • This allows the wall switch to control it

  • Avoid these settings:

    • Middle position → inverter OFF completely

    • Single-bar → inverter always ON (drains battery)

5. Check the GFCI if there’s no power

  • Locate the GFCI outlet on the inverter.

  • If it’s tripped, press reset.

6. Check the breakers if needed

  • Find the sub-panel near the dinette (same side as converter panel).

  • Look for any tripped breakers.

  • Reset by:

    • Pushing fully OFF

    • Then back ON

  • If breakers keep tripping, there may be a larger issue—contact support or an electrician.
