My shore power cable is not charging my battery
Please take a moment to watch the troubleshooting video below for step-by-step guidance, or follow the step-by-step written directions.
If the problem continues, our After Sales team at Escape Trailer will be happy to help. You can submit a support ticket using this form.
1. Check the Surge Protector
-
Look at the surge protector display.
-
Find the error code:
-
E0 = Good shore power (no issues).
-
Any other code (like E1) = There’s a power problem.
-
-
If you see an error:
-
Check the error code guide (usually inside the dinette on the electrical management system box).
-
Follow the recommended action.
-
Note: Some issues may require a professional to fix.
-
2. Check the Charger / Inverter Settings
-
Locate your charger (Multiplus or similar unit).
-
Make sure it is set to:
-
“On” OR
-
“Charger Only”
-
-
These modes allow shore power to charge your batteries.
3. Check the Current Limit Setting
-
Find the digital multi-control dial (the knob with numbers).
-
Make sure the current limit is not set too low.
-
A low setting can prevent proper battery charging.
-
4. Inspect Battery Terminals
-
Look at the battery connections.
-
Make sure:
-
All terminals are tight.
-
Nothing is loose or moving.
-
Wires are properly seated in their ring connectors.
-
5. Still Not Working?
-
Re-check all steps above.
-
If the issue continues:
-
Consult your manual.
-
Contact support or a professional for help.
