1. Understand what the device does

  • The Cerbo GX acts as a central communication hub for your trailer’s electrical system. It connects different devices (solar controller, inverter, battery monitor, sensors) so you can view everything in one place.

2. Install the Cerbo GX in your system

  • Mount and connect the Cerbo GX to your trailer’s power system according to your setup. It should be placed where it can connect to all major electrical components.

3. Connect your devices to the hub

  • Link the following systems to the Cerbo GX:

    • Solar charge controller

    • Inverter

    • Battery monitor

    • Optional sensors (tank levels, temperature sensors, etc.)

  • Each device sends its data to the GX so it can be combined into one system view.

4. Choose how you want to view the data

  • Pick one or both options:

    • A dedicated display screen connected to the GX

    • A smartphone app

  • Either option will show your full system dashboard.

5. Connect to WiFi or cellular (optional but recommended)

  • Set up internet access through WiFi or cellular data. This enables remote monitoring when you are away from your trailer.

6. Monitor your system in real time

  • Use the dashboard to check:

    • Solar power production

    • Battery state of charge

    • Power usage from the inverter

    • Tank levels and temperatures (if sensors are installed)

7. Enable remote monitoring

  • Once connected to the internet, you can check your trailer from anywhere using the app. This lets you:

    • Confirm battery levels while away

    • See if solar is keeping up with power use

    • View live system graphs

8. Review historical data

  • Use the app to track performance over time:

    • Daily usage

    • Weekly trends

    • Monthly power patterns

  • This helps you understand your energy consumption and whether your system size is adequate.

9. Set up alerts and warnings
  • Configure automatic notifications for important conditions, such as:

    • Battery level getting too low

    • Solar not producing when expected

    • Unusual power usage

  • These alerts act like a safety watchdog for your system.

10. Decide if you actually need it

    • If your setup is simple (just basic solar + batteries), you may not need it.

    • If you have multiple power sources, inverters, or want remote monitoring, the GX helps bring everything together in one system.

Summary

The Cerbo GX is a central dashboard for your trailer’s electrical system. It collects data from all your devices, shows it in one place, lets you monitor remotely, stores historical usage, and sends alerts when something needs attention.
